Stacy,

Something came up re: work and I had to stay local. Let me know what I owe you for the garage so we can get it straight.

Trust me, I would have much rather been at the track.

Glad to hear you had fun!

Had a blast this weekend with the great weather. The car held up nicely, and the blue group had lots of space on the track. Looks like I'll be moving up for next time. Stacy -- it was good to meet you. Looking forward to an event-filled season next year.

Colin

shift

Had a good time. It was fun to sample Red, White, and Black groups to see what kind of hardware was running out there.

I learned that corded 5-year-old Dunlop Supersport tires are turds. Time to get some fresh rubber.

I agree with you on the slippery part -- there are about a dozen spots at VIR that are really polished smooth and make a car do very strange things when you hit them -- most noticeable at the apexes in T1, T3, Oak Tree, top of Roller Coaster, and right after the dip in Hogpen. Full throttle got me oversteer in all those places when I entered the corner at speed and on line.

Crappy tires really show pavement irregularities. Detecting surface grip changes is something that I have gotten really, really good at after 5 years of rallycrossing.
