Sorry guys - I am out. As of last night the M5 has decided to stop running. Mad

Not entirely sure what's wrong yet, but there's no way it'll be fixed by 7am Saturday morning.

?!?

I hate to hear that, Evan!

I lied, I have it fixed (sort of) as of last night. Lets do this thing!

I thought it was distributor related since more than one cylinder started misfiring at the same time. Ordered a distributor cap and rotor and new plugs but when I started taking things apart last night in preparation for this weekends fun repairs, the spark plugs in #5 and #6 were totally coated in oil.

Seems like the inner valve cover gasket piece that keeps oil out of those two must have a slow seep and it finally got enough oil down in there to foul up the plugs. I cleaned them off and put them back in and the car runs like a champ. Sat overnight and I don't see much trace of new oil down in there. It must take months to accumulate.

So I think I'm good to go. Car could probably use a valve adjustment anyways, and I can't see any harm in bringing her out this weekend.

my e30 decided to act like a naughty kid last night at 10pm. Mad We were talking and the revs shot up to 3k and then starting to surge. Cleaned the ICV and have another AFM to swap in it but we're going. Just a slight delay.

reminds me of old english cars. Stuff the trunk with tools and hope for long downhills.

Any interest in picking a meeting time or place at the Vineyards? Maybe for a wine tasting? We probably won't be on site until about 12 or so.

I don't think the Saab would fit in so well with the M Drive Razz

Dudes, just went to wash the car and it's f'd up again. My temporary fix was very temporary it seems. Unless someone has an s38 valve cover gasket handy I'm out. Sad
