There has been a lot of talk about this recently. Here is an inexpensive opportunity for everyone to get to drive the Tail

It would be nice to have a strong NcEuro turnout for this, if interested please let me know and I wil cordinate the efforts with the op of this thread _________________ Im not vehicularly challeneged, my garage is just retarded |

I'm in if I can get everything sorted out for the dates. If not, I'll at least be there for friday night/sat/sun. TotD is always awesome, but I think I'll be driving the lolvo for this if I go again. The e30 struggled a little bit in the hills. _________________

Personally, I am not a fan of the dragon.
The road is awesome and place is very scenic. Went there twice, once in a car and once on my bike.
Both times i had either wannabe racer idiots or regular people who just can't drive crossing the double yellow in blind corners and almost hitting me.
I swore never again. That place is a circus. I'd rather go to the track. _________________ 2002 BMW M3 Coupe Titanium Silver 6MT

I agree. I was there and there were many driving the dragon erratically and out of control.
Knowing the past "spirited" drives I've had with NCEurians, I'd opt out unless you knew the ability of all who was going. _________________ Please Enjoy.

The key to enjoying the Dragon is to NOT drive it between May and September which is the heaviest motorcycle traffic time. October should be good. Going when it is too cold to ride, like November to February, will almost give you the road to yourself. _________________

c'mon guys, this is an awesome opportunity. Keep in mind, do not let the limited few ruin it for all. One must remeber we encounter total douches everyday while commuting but it does not stop us from driving to work.
All I am saying is this is an opportunity to enjoy one of the US most famous roads which just happens to be in our backyard. All in all the crowd from the M5 board is a much more mature bunch than most....... _________________ Im not vehicularly challeneged, my garage is just retarded |

1. Radios
2. A trained driver could probably catch you on those roads in a police SUV. _________________

Glad to see there is lots of interest on the subject, but does anyone actually want to go?
Remember we dont have to be limited to this specific time slot. We can join for a couple of days, or hell even one day if need be. Just be objective about the situation. I really believe it would be a genuinely damn good time _________________ Im not vehicularly challeneged, my garage is just retarded |

I'm in, even if it is just for a weekend or a single day. Last time I went I took a 1hr nap after packing and left at 2am. drove the whole day, slept in my car and drove back the next afternoon to work at 8am the next morning. _________________
