registered and booked my Sleep Inn room. Anyone know why HPDE price is $100 more than 2009? Hope I get a MINI instructor.

I hear that VIR raised their rental rates about 15%, not sure how that equates to a $100 increase though, but I'm sure other costs went up as well (insurance, etc).

From what I've seen, most of the THSCC Instructors are normal height.....

Well, Damn. I was hoping for a dwarf or at least a midget. Less weight=faster.

Well since my car performed nicely this weekend I should be signing up soon, just have to decide between red group or blue group.

Got my brake fluid flushed w/ ATE 200, RSB adjusted to stiffest setting for more rotation, new Michelin Pilot Super Sports installed, and a Tech inspection at Performance Chassis.
I now have a month to scrub my new tires in. If I don't have 500 miles plus by the end of the month, I have a fierce MINI club run in the mountains on 3/31 that ought to do it.

Bump for this. They are about 1/2 full, so if you are on the fence, hurry up and get registered. It's going to be a great event.

Also...they have added some "test and tune" sessions for race cars, so if any of you need something like that, take a look.

Vell, Ivan, it looks like your ass is mine. I have been demoted to the green(novice) group. We will find out if an eastern european young man in a nice fast M is faster than an old fool in a MINI on North Course.

Hehe, no fair, it is going to be my first event, I will stay in second and cruise around slowly like I'd be driving Miss Daisy Smile Of course if I don't find a helmet I will be watching from the sidelines anyway.

update: besides, the mini is like a gokart, just shinier, it probably zips around the track at lightning speed Smile

Ivan, I've got a helmet you can borrow if you'd like for the weekend. It's a XXL HJC AR10

It's SNELL 2010 so it'll pass.

I just ask you wash the insert prior to returning it. Smile

Thanks man, I'm waiting response from the organizers regarding my helmet reservation. I'll let you know if I will take you up on the offer.
