I'll be heading down on Saturday early AM. We are meeting up in Asheville anyway so no help to you there.

There's a good chance I'll be heading down either late Thursday or early Friday morning. There's a lot of good racing on Friday as well. I'm trying to get hooked up with a couple of Audi hospitality passes, because their food and open bar is the shizzle.

I'm most likely camping out in the Jeep, (dunno if the wife will part with the A4 for a whole weekend, and the cq is not tagged currently) one if not both nights, so it'll be a party for sure. Fred Lewis will be heading down with me too. He's the guy some of you have met that takes the incredible racing photos. He's been asked to submit to the Brumos Museum and may have one of his shots of Peter Gregg blown up and hung in the museum. It's one of the only shots of Gregg @ Daytona in 1973 in the RSR that you can actually see his face at speed in the infield known to exist.

I'll confirm next week, but for now it's a go.

Glad to hear you may make it down but you're not bringing your "real" Audi with the ABS switch?! Laughing Hope we see you down there so we can ridicule you for driving a Jeep! J/K of course. Glad you'll probably be there!

.....not going to happen after all.

My son has 2 soccer games this weekend, and my guy at Audi did not come through with the hospitality passes for me. I probably would have had a hard time going even if he had, with the 2 soccer game weekend also on the calendar. Oh well, I guess there's always Speed TV. I am going to the Grand Am at VIR the following weekend though. No games, so me and Griff will be there, maybe both days.

PS, the "real" Audi is getting gutted (finally) for track use.

Sweet! Glad you're finally getting off your ass and doing something with that old heap! Razz Are you putting in an AAN?
You are leaving the ABS defeat switch in it some it stays a real Audi, right?! Laughing

So, PLM was pretty kick ass. My pics sucked this year so I won't post mine but here are some that somebody else snapped. http://forums.audiworld.com/southeast/msgs/12141.phtml
Lots of good racing and some damn beautiful cars there. Hope y'all who didn't attend at least got to see it on Speed TV. Helluva race from the get go.
