I thought those of you in or near the mountains might be interested in this:

Driftwilkes will be hosting their third autocross/drift exhibition at Wilkesboro Raceway Park, located in the foothills of North Carolina on Sunday November 6! The entrance fee is $15 and admission is free for spectators. Registration/tech inspection is from noon-1:00, drivers meeting and walk-through at 1:30, events begin at 2:00. May be able to make that. Had some High Country sports car club members who made the last one and said it was cool.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Their inspection really isn't that tough, but considering glass could break, I will check on it and get back to you... How big of a crack is it and where?

its at the bottom center of the front windshield and it's about 2.5 inches tall then makes a U-turn back down.

So far i have had two responses to the glass question. They both think it will be no problem with inspection. If I hear otherwise before Sunday I will let you know. I have also sent you a private message with contact info (AIM screen name) of someone who is interested in a caravan from the Raleigh area. If you do not have AIM let me know so I can get you alternate information. I hope to see you there!

Honestly, if your car is safe to drive 3 hours to get here, it will more than likely pass. For the specifics, try posting at www.driftwilkes.com. I started a thread there about the inspections to ask about your glass, so you could add your question there. Just tell them that I referred you and you want to make sure before you make the drive.
