Camera is real shaky, sorry, she's broken.

video 1 - followed fred for a couple laps to get some chase video, then took off after the dude in the crazy Z06. http://www.evan-levine.com/videos/fredviracnafall07.wmv

video 2 - goin at it, gt3 passes me, passed the gt3 back a lap later, pretty good session

Cool, thanks for the video!

You're definetely more smooth than I am, but at least I finally seem to be using all of the track.

Is the wide angle lens screwed in all the way?
On my camera you don't see the edges of the lens like that, well unless I'm using the 3x zoom lens which is huge.
Maybe that's where some of the shake is comming from.

Nah it's on tight. I normally zoom it in a hair so you don't see that. But the fact that the tightly secured lens is shaking on tape leads me to believe something internal is shaking on the cam.

Yeay maybe.
Does it have an anti-shake feature?
Maybe you need to turn that on/off, I don't remember what the recommendation is.

Just throwing it out there, still camera's have gotten cheaper so hopefully it won't be too painful to fix/replace if it comes to that.

Nice vids Evan, even with the shakes... adds to the sense of speed Very Happy

I bet that vette was quite surprised when you caught up to him the way you after letting Fred go.

Was kinda hard to tell in the video, but does ACNA still use the turn-signal as pass-indicators? If so, how'd that work out?

That was better than I expected. Not too shaky. I would have loved to hear Phil's comments. Where is the video Scottie made of me?

Nice vids and pics Evan. You are too smooth and fast for me.

The vette was pretty damn quick, but not so much in the corners. In that group though I just couldn't get it done, I'd get held up in the corners which is where I had a chance, and on the straights people would give us points and he'd stretch his legs, and then I'd get stuck again in the next set of corners.

We were using normal hand signals, they are just hard to see in the shaky video. Laughing

since i've been doing DE's with the potomac chapter acna (since 04), we have been using hand signals, not turn signals...

They do still tech your blinkers though.... Rolling Eyes

And apparently little red's valve cover gasket is not up to Audi's high level of maintenance expectation. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Haha, I told him it wasn't a leak, it was a seep, and he rolled his eyes and signed the sheet.

Which session of yours was this? (if you don't mind me asking)

I see some classic newb tendencies, hopefully your instructor was pointing them out for you.

What I meant was... was that your 1st session of the weekend? Your 3rd? Your 8th?

We were all newbs at first... I just want to make sure you were getting quality instruction Smile And I want to make sure you were aware of some of the things you were doing (again, things we all did) so you can learn from it (the whole point of the event right?)

Got any longer video? Or video more during the middle of a session?
